The non-profit organisation “Netzwerk blühende Landschaft” (NBL) is dedicated to enhancing biodiversity and regional ecosystems by promoting natural blooming landscapes. To effectively advance their mission, it is crucial to maximise supporter engagement, increase followers, and raise broad public awareness.
For this project, I developed a new visual identity and strategic approach to achieve these goals. During the process, I discovered that NBL uniquely offers direct engagement opportunities, in addition to traditional donations and petitions, which distinguishes it from many other non-profits. I identified various target audiences and tailored our messaging to highlight their specific benefits, such as improved pollination, cost and time savings, environmental stewardship, enhanced image, and aesthetic appeal.
To attract and mobilise a wide range of supporters, I designed an appealing, cohesive, and visually striking identity. This new design focuses on transparency to foster recognition, respect, and trust. It positions NBL as a modern, valuable brand, reflecting the fundamental importance of their mission. The use of vibrant colours represents richness, diversity, and enjoyment. The corporate tagline, “Life is full of colour,” visually emphasises the contrast between monotony and boredom versus diversity and prosperity, reinforcing the brand’s core message.
